Project Graduation Video
From Mike Jeffries...
Back in 2022, just before the 35th class reunion, I tried converting the Project Graduation VHS tape to digital and uploading it to YouTube for everyone. But just like we all heard Hall & Oates sing so many times in the 80s, YouTube said no can do; they rejected it for too many copyright conflicts with the background music. And so the video just sat. However, having just launched this new photography website of mine (feel free use the menu at the top to look around!), I thought maybe there was a new opportunity to get the video out to everyone. So here it is... have fun!
The video is about 2-hours long. Free downloading is possible when you access this page on a desktop/laptop, but not on mobile devices for some reason. The video file is mp4 format and is nearly 4gb in size. If anyone wants a hard-copy DVD, I'm happy to burn some and send them out. There will be no charge except for the actual postage. I have a bunch of unused blank DVDs I can use. Just contact me and I'll add you to the list with the goal of sending them out in Jan/Feb 2024. I'd anticipate it to be like 5 bucks to have it sent, still TBD.
Now, please understand, I'm no video editor and the quality of this conversion is every bit as, um, "good" as you might expect from a 1980s era VHS. I didn't/couldn't try to fix anything. So, it is what it is. It's the best I could do. Still, it's a fun trip down memory lane.
